I'm Kate, an Auckland based designer. UX/UI Design, illustration & photography are the areas that spark my enjoyment & gets my creativity going.
I am a quiet soul & a bit of a perfectionist. Creative independence has always been my go-to, to make my stamp on the world. From abstract finger painting to an attempt at creating a magazine empire at 10 years old to finally selecting design as my pathway in life, creativity is what has always motivated me.
As a recent AUT graduate, completing a Bachelor of Design specialising in UX/UI, I learnt how to not only create but create thoughtfully. Communicating with users to understand their needs & narrowing in my creative process has become a crucial part of my design.
Designing has lead me to opportunities such as creating my own small online business, internships with small local businesses & freelance illustration & design work. My curiosity for all these different areas has made me a well rounded designer.
